Dialogue Across Difference Committee
The Dialogue Across Difference Committee, charged by EVCP Darnell Hunt, will envision and create a quarterly, high-profile event series to model positive discourse on a challenging topic for the UCLA community and beyond. Each event will focus on a specific societal issue with an expert moderator, utilizing UCLA’s vast academic expertise and featuring representation from diverse points of view. The events should aim to inspire attendees and the UCLA community at large to engage in open and respectful discourse and to understand the humanity of those with whom they disagree, even on highly sensitive or contentious topics. The committee will create a program vision and budget to present to the EVCP for approval.
