A search/advisory committee has been assembled and charged with identifying candidates for the next Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer at UCLA.

Judith L. Smith, founding dean of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, is chair of the committee. Other members are:

Kathleen M. McGarry – professor and vice chair, Department of Economics; member, Council on Planning and Budget
Jens Palsberg – Professor of Computer Science; member, Council on Planning and Budget
Gary M. Segura – dean, UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs
Victoria L. Sork – dean, Division of Life Sciences
Paul A. Staton – senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer, UCLA Health
Peter J. Taylor ‘80 – president, ECMC Foundation

To enhance the search effort, we have retained an executive search firm, Korn Ferry, represented by John F. Amer and Beau Lambert.

Since the most effective way to identify outstanding prospective candidates is through personal contact, I would very much appreciate your circulating the announcement below and notifying the search/advisory committee of any individuals you feel are exceptionally well qualified for the position.
