Search/Advisory Committee: Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer

Dear Colleagues:

A search/advisory committee has been assembled and charged with identifying candidates for the next vice chancellor and chief financial officer at UCLA.

Antonio Bernardo, dean of the UCLA Anderson School of Management and John E. Anderson Chair in Management, is chair of the committee. Other members are:

To enhance the search effort, we have retained an executive search firm, Opus Partners, represented by Craig V. Smith and Thomas Lapierre.

Since the most effective way to identify outstanding prospective candidates is through personal contact, I would very much appreciate your circulating the announcement and notifying the search/advisory committee of any individuals you feel are exceptionally well qualified for the position. The committee also welcomes input on ideal qualities and qualifications for the position; current opportunities, challenges and priorities that could help set the agenda for the next vice chancellor and CFO; and any other information or insight that will help guide the committee’s efforts. Please email inquiries, nominations and input to CFOSearch@conet.ucla.edu, or contact Yolanda Gorman, senior advisor to the Chancellor and chief of staff (YGorman@conet.ucla.edu). Applications may be sent to Opus Partners Senior Associate, Thomas Lapierre, at Thomas.Lapierre@opuspartners.net. All input, inquiries, nominations and applications will be held in strict confidence.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely,

Darnell Hunt
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
