Applications Open: True Bruin Values in Action Grants

Dear Bruin Community:

UCLA invites applications for the inaugural True Bruin Values in Action Grants, a pilot program designed to help campus groups put Integrity, Excellence and Belonging into practice.

Approximately 10 projects will receive grants of up to $3,000 to introduce and assess a specific change in a UCLA practice, process, relationship or experience. Projects may focus on teaching and learning, research environments, student leadership, workplace or clinical practices, community engagement or collaboration across units.

Eligible applicants include UCLA academic and administrative units, instructional and research teams, clinical teams, recognized student organizations, trainee-led groups and cross-unit partnerships. Strong proposals will address a clearly defined UCLA need, involve the people affected, be feasible during the winter and spring quarters, and produce a practical resource or lesson that others at UCLA can use. Cross-unit proposals are welcome but are not required.

Applications are open through Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. Funded projects will run from January through May 2027.

Review the program guidelines and expense rules

The grants are intended for concrete changes in UCLA practice, not primarily for standalone events, general research without a direct UCLA implementation purpose or promotional campaigns. Applicants should request only the funding they need, up to $3,000. Please direct questions to TrueBruinValues@ucla.edu.

We look forward to seeing how Bruins bring our shared values to life across UCLA.

Sincerely,

Darnell Hunt
