This Thursday: Campus Town Hall on Federal Policy Actions
Dear Bruin Community:
I first want to acknowledge that it has been a difficult couple of months for Los Angeles and for UCLA. As we continue to recover from the devastating wildfires, many in our community are also deeply concerned about federal actions and what they mean for our future.
As Chancellor Frenk noted in his message on Friday, he has asked UCLA leadership to hold a campuswide town hall to help our community understand the possible impacts of federal directives. I encourage you to join us virtually this Thursday, Feb. 27 from 1 – 2 p.m., along with senior leaders from research, student affairs, academic personnel, inclusive excellence and other key areas. We plan to share the latest updates and answer your questions. Please register to receive Zoom information and include any questions you may have ahead of time.
In addition to UCOP’s Federal Updates web page, I also want to share a new Federal Updates for the UCLA Community web page on UCLA Newsroom. It will continue to be updated with relevant information for our campus. Please bookmark this page and consult it frequently.
I hope you will join us on Thursday. Thank you for your continued commitment to UCLA’s mission of teaching, research and service.
Sincerely,
Darnell Hunt
Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost
