Joint Task Force on the Academic Mission of UCLA Campus Expansion
This task force, jointly appointed by Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost (EVCP) Hunt and Academic Senate Chair Cattelino, will consider optimal academic programmatic uses of the newly acquired UCLA campus expansion in Rancho Palos Verdes. The committee will lead a process of ideation and consultation to conceptualize an academic program for the campus expansion. Program ideas must be driven by the academic mission as well as UCLA’s deep commitment to inclusive excellence, the UC 2030 enrollment goals, and financial feasibility. It will also consider broader principles and parameters, anchored in the Academic Senate’s principles and parameters, for campus expansion.
