Search for Dean of Graduate Education

Dear Colleagues:

As you know, Susan Ettner will be stepping down from her role as dean of graduate education to return to the faculty full time on January 1, 2025. I welcome your recommendations for potential candidates to fill the position, which Interim Chancellor Hunt and I have decided to fill through an internal UCLA search.

If you would like to be considered as a candidate for the position, we also welcome inquiries and self-nominations, and invite application materials by Monday, October 28, 2024.

A small advisory committee with faculty drawn from a slate provided by the Academic Senate Committee on Committees will review nominations and applications and provide me with their observations and recommendations.

To help inform and guide our work, we also welcome your input on key priorities for the next dean, and on ideal qualities and qualifications for the position.
